OST LIVE

After completing my Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) and the exit of Daily Crypto, I joined ost.com as a Podcast Producer and Marketing Manager.

OST LIVE was a branded video podcast series for Open Simple Token (OST), a blockchain platform that allows businesses to launch their own brand tokens. The podcast was live streamed weekly and featured blockchain experts, software engineers, and case studies with real businesses using the OpenST Protocol. Discussion topics included token economics, scalability, branded tokens, and the latest blockchain technologies.

I joined OST as a full time team member in September of 2018. OST launched an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2017. During the ICO, the company grew a significant community following including token sale participants. The large following introduced a need for the company to provide community updates such as AMAs, presentations, technical explanations, and case studies.

A branded video podcast was a great tool to fulfill this need. I prepared and launched the OST LIVE podcast with two weeks lead time. I then produced a weekly long-format episode and a weekly short-format episode. In addition, I hosted a live AMA every few months via YouTube Live. In these episodes, OST content was broken down into digestible content that non-technical individuals can understand.

OST team members were primary guests on the podcast due to their extensive knowledge of emerging blockchain technologies, distributed systems, and protocols. Leaders from the Ethereum community were also featured to introduce the latest developments such as ETH 2.0 and ENS.

Thought my time at OST I also worked on traditional marketing efforts including email marketing, social media, and community management. In addition, I worked with clients to build marketing plans.

The video podcast served as a great format to engage with community members. After the company completed the successful launch OST Platform, there was a need to focus on use cases and client success. In September 2019, I decided to pursue my next project, This Week in Crypto.
