Daily Crypto

Daily Crypto was a daily briefing podcast on cryptocurrency world news and the blockchain revolution. The podcast featured updates on Bitcoin, altcoins, exchanges, regulations, blockchain developments, and guest CEO’s from blockchain related firms such as IOTA, OPSkins, bitFlyer and YouNow. The podcast was primarily hosted on dailycrypto.io and all major podcast platforms.

October 2016

I first became aware of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in 2016. Eventually, I decided to dip my toes into Bitcoin and Ethereum. In May 2017, I saw growth in the market but there was still much skepticism around cryptocurrencies. After experiencing an increase in a small wave of adopters over the summer of 2017, I saw collective communities dedicated to growth in blockchain and participation in network upgrades. The technology was at an early stage and I saw this as an opportunity to become an early adopter and not only learn, but also explain blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

September 2017

I decided to start a podcast, specifically on blockchain and cryptocurrency news. At this time, China had banned crypto-to-fiat exchanges and the news had substantial impact on the crypto market in a negative manner. I wanted to provide a brief daily report on cryptocurrency world news to help enthusiasts, traders, investors, and spectators keep up to date with this early stage but high growth technology. At the time, there were less than 30 blockchain and crypto podcasts in existence. Today, there are well over 100 podcasts that focus on blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

June 2018

The podcast experienced major success reaching up to 85k in a single month. Daily Crypto had phenomenal Google search rankings and had an established presence on all podcast platforms. It has over 60 reviews on iTunes and more than 1k subscribes on CastBox, one of the newer podcast apps. The podcast reached a successful exit and I became unaffiliated with Daily Crypto.
