Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network

The Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network is a federally funded non-profit organization focused on providing no-cost consulting and low cost training to established small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs.

August 2016 – October 2017

I worked in marketing and special projects at the SBDC lead center in Orange County. The lead center oversees 7 service centers located throughout the tri-county area of Orange County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County. I worked with the marketing team to plan events with 500+ attendees, such as the Small Business Week Awards and the SBA 8(a) Small Business Conference.

I connected clients to consultants for small business financing, micro loans, financial planning, marketing strategy, and cyber security assistance. I sent weekly email blasts to over 7,000 clients and curated the SBDC’s social media and online marketing efforts. Additionally, I created marketing collateral and assisted with programs such as U.S. Department of General Services training events and Emprendedor@s, a startup program held in Spanish to help underserved entrepreneurs.

In October 2017, I resigned from my marketing role at the SBDC to focus on completing my Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a concentration in Marketing from California State University Fullerton, Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. I also pursued the launch of Daily Crypto, a daily briefing podcast on cryptocurrency world news that reached 85k monthly downloads and a successful exit in 2018.
